Why Blissology?
Blissology is a time of reflection and dialogue with others. The tendency in life is to get pulled by the forces that lull us into a state of uninspired complacency or to drift aimlessly though our days. Time spent mastering the skills of Blissology pay off hugely in the department of lasting happiness. All important aspects of being alive stem from this mission: Morality, Environmentalism, Social Change, and Healthy Relationships of all sorts.
You do not have to be a Yogi to practice Blissology. Blissologists come in many guises. Some are gardeners, farmers, artists, sailors, poets and parents. To become a Blissologist, you simply have to take the time to become aware of the impact of the choices we make and determine whether our actions weighed more strongly on the equation of love or selfishness.
The Blissology Symbol:
The Blissology symbol is shaped like a teardrop, but it also a flame, signifying that both great sorrows and great joy can open us up to the deep flow of life. The first layer (which is a white dot) symbolizes the still place inside. The second flame layer (orange) signifies the fire of love that it lights in our being. The third level (coffee brown) is for our close relationships, the fourth (forest green) our relationships within our communities and lastly the fifth (an oceanic blue) our connection to the environment.
May we all find this perfect balance of love and selfishness so our lives are as meaningful as possible.
